Melissa of Little Blue Bird Events came to my rescue at a time when I thought my world was falling apart. My father had recently passed away and being that I was 3000 miles away I called Little Blue Bird Events hoping she would be open to taking on my father’s Celebration of Life event. Contacting her in mid-June with a July 23rd date I assumed it would not be promising due to Wedding season being at an all-time high due to all the canceled weddings of Covid I took a leap of faith and left a detailed message for her and Melissa responded the same day. Within hours we had a plan for our event and she assured me that everything would be delivered the morning of and that she and her staff would be at our location to set up, and she delivered! From linens, to tables and chairs, tents, microphone and audio, signs for parking…..she had it all covered. The day of our event was perfect. My family had very little stress regarding the details thanks to Melissa and her professionalism. She returned the morning after and packed up all of our rentals and ensured they were returned without incident. I cannot recommend Little Blue Bird Events enough. Should you want all the details put together in a way that makes things easy, this is the company you want!
We had about 230 guests and got married in 2019 and Little Blue Bird Events was amazing! Melissa was such a pleasure to work with and from beginning to end. She was organized and attentive and very insightful. She gave awesome suggestions regarding décor and meshed so well with our vendor team! Melissa and her assistants were very professional and so fun to work with! Our wedding party loved them!
Her friendliness was above and beyond our expectations as she helped direct our guests to their seats during the ceremony and reception. Furthermore, she was constantly communicating with our vendors so we could have a stress-free day. We couldn’t have done it without her and would absolutely recommend Melissa to make your entire wedding planning process an amazing and smooth experience and for your special day to be perfect, our day was the best day ever!
I was the Maid of Honor at my best friend’s wedding in April of 2022. Melissa made my friend’s wedding day so easy! My wedding was 1 month after and I knew I needed her for my special day too and we were so relieved when Melissa said she had our day available, with such short notice! She made our day more special then I ever could have imagined! Instead of the pressure of setting up my own tables and decorations, Melissa was there directing and handling everything. She helped our rowdy bunch stay focused and organized before and during the ceremony (she guided the kids extremely well too!) I’m so thankful that she was there to send us off and make sure the clean up was taken care of, up to the venue’s high standards. Upon my first meeting with Melissa, I knew she was going to be the only way I could pull off my wedding! My husband and I chose to have a large wedding of 150-200 people so the task ahead was daunting.

I have worked with her several times for baby showers and birthday parties and every time I am absolutely blown away with her skills. Once I have provided her with a theme and overall vision, she has no problem taking that and running with it. She will source and acquire food, beverages, decorations, anything that you may need to have a stress free planning experience. The best part is her ability to pull all of this off while staying within budget. It’s safe to say she has provided me with many great experiences that allowed me to be present with my guests. Do yourself a favor and hire her to be your party or event planner. The outcome is priceless.
I have hired Melissa for two baby showers, one in 2019 and another in 2022. Both events were relaxing and beautiful. She made large balloon garlands, photo booths and centerpieces that were all coordinated to the color scheme I provided. She adds the most fun and meaningful details to her designs!
